1st Find a dog food with a protein source of high quality. Chicken meal is the absolute best. It has less water than chicken and is more concentrated. This allows the puppy to adequate protein as it grows.
2nd Avoid foods that are difficult to digest in such grains as corn, wheat, gluten, dairy and soy. Even if the label says "natural" to read list of ingredients before you buy! Many dogs are allergic to grains like corn and wheat to begin your Pugpuppy out of these foods can cause problems in their future health.
3rd Look for a puppy food that contains no chemical preservatives. Make sure and stay away from BHA, BHT and ethoxoquin.
4th Choose a food that is high quality and totally natural. If a dog food is high quality, there is no reason to feed a puppy food. Look for one approved by AAFCO (American Association of Control Officials feed) for all stages of life, both puppiesadults.
5th Find a food with enough protein in the first five ingredients. Many puppy foods use corn or other food that most foods do not contain enough good protein in it.
5th Stay away from products! By products are "leftovers" after the elite of flesh removed. These are chicken feet, intestines, etc. … Yes, I think you get a picture! These bad ingredients added to many commercial puppy food. To see and read yourlabels!
6th Choose a food that contains vitamins, minerals and antioxidants it contains. Good nutrition is essential for a puppy in its peak growth years.
